Title: What is the velocity of a projectile and a wooden block?
Post by: federox on Jun 23, 2013
A 0.145 kg projectile is fired with a velocity of +714 m/s at a 1.88 kg wooden block that rests on a frictionless table. The velocity of the block, immediately after the projectile passes through it, is +41.8 m/s. Calculate the velocity with which the projectile exits from the block.

0.145*714=1.88*41.8+0.145*v
solve for v
