Define and discuss "work engagement." What does it mean in the workplace? Please provide examples.

Work engagement can be defined as "a positive work-related state of mind that is characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption." Vigour involves high levels of energy and mental resilience at work. Dedication means being strongly involved in your work and experiencing a sense of significance, enthusiasm, and challenge. Absorption refers to being fully concentrated on and engrossed in your work. In particular, the first two dimensions–vigour and dedication–position engagement as the opposite of burnout.
