Answer to Question 1

The BeltLine is an attempt by Atlanta at smart growth by recovering an abandoned rail and industrial corridor and turning it into a pedestrian-friendly trail and transit loop that connects the major portions of the city together. This type of project changes a city by providing green gathering space (which makes the city more livable), creates transit, creates jobs, and increases the city's tax base.

Answer to Question 2

Some of the sustainable agriculture practices discussed in the text are locavores (eating locally grown products), urban agriculture, home algae farms, and organic farming.
