Privacy Policy for Homework Clinic

At Homework Clinic, accessible from https://homeworkclinic.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Homework Clinic and how we use it.

Log Files

Homework Clinic follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. Registration via Social Media Accounts

For guests who choose to register via a social media account (e.g. Facebook), Homework Clinic collects information on your first and last name, email address, and current display picture.

  • The first and last name is used to generate a unique username that the website uses to identify the member. This username is made public whenever a post is made or a new topic is generated on the forum.
  • The email address is used for the purpose of communication; all notifications are sent via email to the email address collected through the registration process (members may choose to opt-out from receiving notifications by accessing their notifications and email settings.)   • The display picture URL is stored in our database to be displayed alongside your Homework Clinic profile.

An account password is autogenerated and sent to each member's personal inbox. This password, along with your email address or username, can be used to manually log into Homework Clinic. You may choose to change your display name, email address, and display picture by accessing your account settings.

Account Erasure

Members have the freedom to erase the information pertaining to their account, and delete their account whenever they wish to do so. Your account can be deleted by accessing the account deletion link found in your profile. This action is irreversible, and requires each member to input their password before continuing. Upon approval, the deletion of your account removes all your account information from our database, including your email address, recorded IP addresses, display picture, username, and password. Prior to approval, your account remains in an inactivate state, invisible to search results and site-related notifications.

Like any other website, Homework Clinic uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
