Steps for developing and implementing a token reinforcement system:
1) Determine what behaviors are required
2) Determine the backup reinforcers and what will be used to represent the tokens (e.g., actual tokens, play dollar bills, etc)  guard against counterfeiting
3) Determine the cost of each backup reinforce
4) Determine when students can exchange tokens for backup reinforcers
