Answer to Question 1

d

Answer to Question 2

Many people do not perceive plants as being potent like conventional prescription medicine. Also herbal remedies do not require the pre-approval of the FDA for sale unlike prescription drugs. This may give people the false impression that herbs do not have powerful effects in the body. Many people use these in place of conventional medicines because such medicines may have undesirable side-effects. For example, some blood pressure medicines may cause a chronic cough that is bothersome to people. There are herbs, like garlic or ginseng (http://www.highbloodpressureinfo.org/high-blood-pressure-herbs.html) that may help reduce blood pressure without the cough as a side effect.
