So for my physics class, one assignment was shown as a video. A ball is shot straight in the air from a launcher, it take a total of 1.37 seconds from the point of being shot till it returns to it's starting place.

The only other info is that the launcher is sitting on a 1 metre tall table.

I need to know the velocity of the projectile, and can't find anything on how to do it anywhere.

Thanks!

v = u+at
v = 0 at max height, t = (1.37/2) at max height , a = -9.81 , u =?
0 = u -9.81 x (1.37/2)
u = 9.81 x (1.37/2)
u = 6.72m/s

If it takes 1.3s. to return to its start point (1m. above ground), it takes 0.65s. to reach maximum height. So you need to find that height.
Height = 1/2 (t^2 x g), = 2.07025m.
Since you have table height, one must assume you need velocity at GROUND. So, add 1 metre.
Velocity = sqrt. (2gh), = 7.7574m/sec.

9.8 used as g.

Only one in 10 cancer deaths is caused by the primary tumor. The vast majority of cancer mortality is caused by cells breaking away from the main tumor and metastasizing to other parts of the body, such as the brain, bones, or liver.
