Two technicians are describing clogged EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) passages.  Technician A says clogged EGR passages can cause excessive NOX (oxides of nitrogen) exhaust emission.  Technician B says clogged EGR passages can cause the engine to ping (spark knock or detonation).  Who is right?
◦ Technician A
◦ Technician B
◦ Both technicians
◦ Neither technician
