 Charles Brown

Answer to Question 2

Blues was crucial in the British rock of the 1960s (e.g., the Rolling Stones) (WOM, p. 134). Other examples might include popular British blues bands with such artists as internationally famous Eric Clapton; America blues revivals of the 1960s brought blues music to international and mostly white audiences in North America and Europe; and in the 1960s black rhythm and blues crossed over to the pop charts (for example, Jimmy Reed's Big Boss Man).
