A 52-year-old man who was building a shed in his backyard has collapsed during an extremely hot and humid day. His skin is flushed and his clothes are wet with sweat. He responds only to painful stimuli. Your first priority should be to:
◦ pour cool water over the patient and fan him aggressively.
◦ elevate his legs 10 to 12 inches.
◦ move him into the shade or, if possible, indoors.
