Timothy O'Toole recently graduated from a teacher education program with a degree in elementary education and an emphasis in special education. He was a strong student in academics, enjoyed a successful student teaching experience in the fourth grade at the local elementary school, and is currently coaching basketball at the middle school. Mr. O'Toole received an invitation to interview for an elementary position in a small rural town approximately two hours away.
Develop a table of contents of written materials that Mr. O'Toole could include in a professional portfolio for his interview.

Written materials might include lesson plans and curriculum materials, reflections on his development as a teacher, journal entries, writing assignments made by his instructor, sample tests he has prepared, critiques of textbooks, evaluations of students' work at the level for which he is preparing to teach, sample letters to parents, a resume, and letters of recommendation from teaching professionals (e.g., master teacher, administrator, mentor) who observed and/or evaluated different aspects of teaching such as planning, implementing, and self assessment.
