Description: Bile flows through hepatic ducts in the liver that merge to form the common hepatic duct. It joins the cystic duct from the gallbladder to form the common bile duct. Because of their appearance, these ducts are known as the biliary tree. The pancreatic duct joins the common bile duct just before it enters the duodenum.
