Description: This is Bacillus anthracis. It is a gram positive, long bacillus. This is the cellular arrangement, streptobacillus. Strepto (chains) bacillus (rod-shaped).

 Because they form endospores, it appears that there are small “dots” connected together but if you look closer, you will see what appears to be spaces between very long “rods”. On the left side of the picture, you can see two separate cells connected. The two cells are in an open space away from the other strands.
