Description: An Estimate of the Time of Global Peak Conventional Oil Production This estimate (blue curve) was made in 2006 by the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas. (ASPO International). The shift from increasing or stable production levels to declining production has been called the “Big Rollover.” Such a rollover in oil production occurred in the continental U.S.A. in 1970 (red curve).
