| Description: In a homogeneous enzyme immunoassay, antibody bound to the hapten conjugated to the enzyme prevents enzyme function by blocking the substrate interaction. When the patient serum contains the antigen, the enzyme-labeled antigen and the patient antigen complete the binding to the antibody and the enzyme function increases.
