Description: 2-Aminopurine (2AP) is converted by salvage pathways to deoxy aminopurine triphosphate (dAPTP), the dNTP analog of dATP.

BrdUrd is converted to BrdUTP, thedNTP analog of dTTP.

The first round of replication occurs in the presence of the analog, and the second and third rounds occur in its absence.
