Answer to Question 1

First, by rewarding people for their productivity by paying them wages equal to their MRPs, people have the incentive to work and improve their skills. Since MRPs vary, people must receive different wage rates, even though this will lead to income inequality. Second, because the rich can afford to save a higher percentage of their income than can the poor, they tend to do the economy's investing, thus generating economic growth that benefits everyone.

There can actually be a 25-hour time difference between certain locations in the world. The International Date Line passes between the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Each day had 10 decimal hours. Each hour had 100 decimal minutes. Due to lack of popularity, the metric clocks and calendars were ended in 1795, three years after they had been first marketed.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
