Good-quality hay has the following characteristics: sweet smelling, green color, soft pliable
stems, and no mold.

Answer to Question 2

The two basic types of hay are grass and legume. Examples of grass hay include Timothy,
Bermuda grass, Brome grass, Johnson grass, Orchard grass, and Prairie grass. Examples of
legume hay include Alfalfa, Lespedeza, and Clover.
