Answer to Question 1

Most activities where labor is involved will generally be best scheduled in
terms of working days. A variety of examples would include framing walls, installing
pipe, running cable, hanging doors, laying brick, decking, etc. Examples of activities that
might be best scheduled in terms of calendar days are those in which the primary
resource being utilized is time itself. One example regularly included here is curing of
concrete, primarily because the concrete will cure whether labor is performed or not.
Dewatering and some procurement activities will also be scheduled in terms of calendar
days.

Answer to Question 2

Sorting consists of ordering the information being examined, whether by date,
alphabetical, numerically, etc. Filtering is a means by which the information is examined
and only information meeting specific criteria is isolated and shown. Unlike filtering,
sorting does not hide any information from view.
