Define intra-arterial. What dangers could accompany this method of administration?

Answer to Question 1

Infusion directly into the artery. Could cause sudden and serious reactions, as arrhythmias or allergic reactions, and could cause bleeding if adequate prolonged pressure is not applied to the site after administration.

Answer to Question 2

The immediate concern is not with cholesterol, saturated fats, or fiber etc., but because of the nature of CHF (more fluid than the heart is strong enough to pump), sodium and fluid need to be watched more closely.
