Other organs in the thoracic cavity include: the esophagus, trachea, thymus, and certain large blood and lymph vessels. The abdominal cavity is the space below the diaphragm, commonly referred to as the belly. It contains the stomach, intestines, and other organs of digestion. The pelvic cavity is the space formed by the bones of the pelvic area and contains the organs of reproduction and elimination.
