Answer to Question 1

It is the idea that gender characteristics are the result of historical, economic, and political forces acting within each culture.

Answer to Question 2

Sex is the biological difference between male and female, while gender is the cultural articulation of these differences between male and female  how they are socially meaningful in that culture.
