Answer to Question 1

Answers will vary. Examples include:
Quality  Cost of treating contaminated water.
Accessibility  Good quality water is too far or too deep.
Quantity  Not enough water to meet demand.
Distribution  Cost of pumping water to where it is needed.
Maintenance  Cost of maintaining wells, pipelines, and
other infrastructure.

Answer to Question 2

Answers will vary. Most communities obtain drinking water from groundwater pumped
through wells. Some communities use surface water like lakes and rivers. Some coastal
cities without reliable fresh surface water or groundwater supplies desalinate ocean
water to obtain drinking water.

These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
