Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
The case manager usually confers with insurers and provides the treatment team with information
about available resources. The student nurse should be mindful of client confidentiality and should
neither confirm that the client is an inpatient nor disclose other information.

Answer to Question 2

ANS:
A, B, C
Rationale: Consistency implies predictability. Options A, B, and C help a client predict what will
happen during each day and develop a greater degree of security and comfort. Encouraging a client
to share initial impressions of staff has nothing to do with consistency and would not be considered a
therapeutic intervention.
