Vesicular sounds are soft, breezy, and low-pitched and are heard longer on inspiration than expiration. Bronchovesicular sounds are medium-pitched blowing sounds heard equally on inspiration and expiration from air moving through the large airways. Bronchial sounds are loud high-pitched sounds with a hollow quality heard longer on expiration that inspiration from air moving through the trachea. Adventitious breath sounds are breath sounds that are not normal.
