Answer to Question 1

A
After menopause, decreased estrogen levels cause loss of bone density, which leads to osteopo-rosis. Risk of type 2 diabetes increases with age, especially if weight increases, but is not specif-ically related to menopause. Asthma is not related to menopause. Iron deficiency anemia de-creases after menopause because blood is no longer lost in menstruation.
