Although, as researchers put it, the effects of pornography are probably not uniformly negative, a considerable amount of research suggests potentially negative impacts, including the following:
 Increased viewing of women as sex objects
 Increased aggression toward women
 Greater acceptance of rape
 Decreased sexual satisfaction within romantic relationships
 Partner's feelings of betrayal
 More infidelity among college students in committed relationships
 Increased hooking up, with more risky behaviors (oral sex and intercourse rather than kissing and petting)
 Increased number of hookup partners.
