Limited changes in physical development: hair thins and tends to turn gray, may experience a receding hairline, storage of body fat increases; the distribution of fat changes to increased waist-to-hip ratio, tendency to put on weight until mid 50s: start to lose weight and slowly lose height after approximately age 60, bones start to shrink, hearing and vision degrade first before other senses.
