The estimator\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{{\overline X}_1-{\overline X}_2}\)is unbiased for the parameter\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{\mu_1-\mu_2}\). This means that:

\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{{\overline X}_1={\overline X}_2}\).

\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{E\left({\overline X}_1-{\overline X}_2\right)=\mu_1-\mu_2=0}\).

The value\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{{\overline X}_1-{\overline X}_2}\)will always be the same as the value\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{\mu_1-\mu_2}\).

\(\style{font-family:Times New Roman;}{E\left({\overline X}_1-{\overline X}_2\right)=\mu_1-\mu_2}\).
