Take someone away from him that he loves doing, or a snack away that he loves to eat. Tell him, the next time he forgets, he doesn't get it back for a long time.

1. To get the homework, you can call your son's friends parents, that has the homework, and tell him/her to fax the homework to him.
2. If he forgets his homework again, just follow that step.
3. You can punish something he likes to do.

He doesn't "forget", he just doesn't care. Punishing him wont do anything so just tell him how bad his life will be if he doesn't try in school. Or you could lock him in a room with a bunch of buckets of chlorine for a few days...that will teach him.

give him a folder with the words " homework on it" tell him to put all his homework he gets that day in to it. and when he is done it that night put it back in the folder. he has to put it back into his book bag or keep it with something he brings home everyday just to be sure he forgets he has when he forgets it. no TV or no video games or no dessert after dinner.

Well, my brother had the same problem when he was in grade school and they dealt with it well. At my house, it used to be that we had to get all homework done before we could do anything "fun," be it video games, playing with friends, etc. My mom got him an agenda and had him write all his homework assignments in there. Then, after getting approval from the teacher, she had the teacher sign it every day. If my brother forgot the homework, it would be like he didn't get his homework done. He was not allowed to do anything fun that day. I think that is an age appropriate punishment and will make sure that he remembers his homework the next day.

Maybe he would be more inclined if he had help doing it.  Seeing as you just spelled often offing and punishments punishment's I'm pretty sure you can't do that so my best advice would be to offer him money as a reward for doing it.  Even when he doesn't do it just give him more money and just think how happy he will be. :)

To help him remember to bring his homework home, give him a little reward when he does remember.  Give him a piece of candy, a small amount of money, a special treat at dinner, or don't make him do a certain chore.  I've found that giving rewards is more motivating for children than punishments are.

As far as punishments go, don't let him watch TV, play video games, or go on the computer unless it's school-related.  A different possibility is to make him do extra chores.

Hope I helped!

Write a note to his teacher and ask if she can check if he has his homework everyday before he leaves class and when he comes home, help him with his homework! And at the end of the week give him an award Maybe a toy  he's been asking for? But if he doesnt bring his homework home and finish it  for 3 days out of the week take away a toy or privilage or just ground him for the weekend. So It's " 3 strikes your out" rule. And if he brings his homework and does it for a whole month give him a Huge award. Going out to eat or a movie maybe?
