b. Platelet count >>>acute = <20 x 109>c. Sex predilection >>> acute: none; chronic: 3:1 ratio of females: males
d. Common lab findings >>> chronic: none noted; acute: accompanying eosinophilia and lymphocytosis
e. Onset of bleeding >>> acute: abrupt; chronic: insidious
f. Duration of episodes >>> acute: 2-6 weeks; chronic: months-years
g. Spontaneous remissions >>> acute: in vast majority of cases; chronic: rare
