Answer to Question 1

It is a sovereign, geographically based state that identifies itself as having a distinctive national culture and historical experience.

Answer to Question 2

They include producers, such as miners, craftspeople, and peasant farmers; the bureaucracy; and the elite, such as the aristocracy.
