Answer to Question 1

D
There are a variety of things the nurse should do before sending a patient for a diagnostic test. The vital signs should be monitored and documented. The nurse should check if the patient is wearing an identification band. The nurse should review the medical record for documentation of allergies and if not documented, ask the patient. The NPO status will depend upon the diagnostic test. It should not be assumed that providing fluids is done when preparing a patient for every diagnostic test.

Answer to Question 2

C
Culture is not static or uniform among all members within cultural groups. Culture represents adaptive dynamic processes learned through life experiences.
