Answer to Question 1

In late career, the major focus of an individual's life is on activities outside the workplace. The individual builds outside interests and begins a gradual detachment from the work environment.
Activities within the workplace may also shift from a power role to a minor role. Super refers to this stage as decline, characterized by pre-retirement considerations. Within the work environment, the individual is preparing to let go of responsibilities and pass them on to others.
On major adjustment during late career is learning to accept a reduced work role and changing one's focus away from a highly involved work identity.
Emotional support in late career comes primarily from peers and particularly from old acquaintances. Moving away from the stress and turmoil associated with younger workers who are striving to move upward, late-career employees identify with peers and rekindle closer attachments to spouses.
Having resolved many of the uncertainties of midcareer, they tend to focus on broader issues, such as the future of their profession or work. Some will retire and seek a job to supplement their income that also allows them to spend time with family.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
