Answer to Question 1

Primary containers come in direct contact with the food.
A secondary container is an outer box or wrap that holds several primary containers together.
Tertiary containers group several secondary holders together into shipping units.

Answer to Question 2

Any two of the following:
sausage casings
protective coatingsgelatin, gum arabic, starch, monoglycerides, or proteins
edible wax filmcoats the surface of vegetables
