(1) eliminating insects from wheat, potatoes, flour, spices, tea, fruits, and vegetables
(2) to control sprouting and ripening
(3) to use on pork to control trichinosis
(4) controlling Salmonella and other harmful bacteria in chicken, turkey, and other fresh and frozen uncooked poultry
(5) to control pathogens in fresh and frozen red meats
(6) to help control foodborne pathogens in fresh or frozen oysters, mussels, and clams
