Answer to Question 1
A
Answer to Question 2
Customers in the restaurant and foodservice industry use a variety of methods for bill payment. In many operations cash is a primary payment method. Increasingly, however, guests use payment cards to pay their bills, even in the QSR and fast-casual segments of the industry. Today, fewer operations accept personal checks. However, personal checks and travelers checks are still an important form of payment in some operations. Other payment forms for which managers must train cashiers include gift certificates of various denominations, and prepaid gift cards. These must be processed according to the operation's approved payment acceptance procedures. As well, in some operations, promotional coupons and frequent diner program redemptions represent payment forms with which an operation's cashiers must be familiar.
