Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Although legal letters are the general mode of communication between members of your firm and the outside world, it is not advisable to shoot the client a quick e-mail, as a mode of communication. Your supervising attorney may regularly keep in contact with certain clients by e-mail, but unless you are permitted for a specific reason, or if client has requested correspondence by e-mail, you should maintain all communication in letter form. Unlike a letter, an e-mail can be forwarded to hundreds of people. E-mail messages may also be misdirected to an unintended recipient. E-mail may also not be received because the wrong e-mail address is included or because of technical problems.
