They are likely to be very busy especially since many African American women are single heads of households. She could try to walk more perhaps with friends such that she wouldn't have to worry about her safety as much. Also, she could substitute one soda per day with water or she could substitute one high fat or sugary snack with one piece of fruit. These changes would not require a lot of money to implement.
