How does neurofeedback differ from biofeedback?
◦ Neurofeedback has a much longer history as a stress management technique than biofeedback.
◦ Biofeedback has produced proven results; neurofeedback is more of a "fringe" technique.
◦ Neurofeedback addresses control of neurotransmitters and glial connections; biofeedback focuses on modifying white blood cells and hormones.
◦ Neurofeedback focuses specifically on training people to control brain activity; biofeedback can focus on many different bodily systems.
