  and poet Jack Kerouac, poet Sylvia Plath, and novelist Ernest Hemingway.

Research
reputable sources to examine the explanations they gave for suicide. How do those
compare with Heilbrun's explanation? Do you believe each acted ethically, given
their individual situations?



Answer to Question 2

What factors are
most relevant in assessing this? How would Aquinas analyze her decision? How
would Hume?
