Because of increased pelvic congestion from the additional uterine blood supply at midpregnancy, most women notice increased clitoral sensation and may experience orgasm for the first time during pregnancy because of this. Orgasm during pregnancy is not harmful. Pelvic congestion does not make orgasm painful.
