Answer to Question 1

The advantage comes from the efficiencies that a SAN, as a separate network, can bring to storage access and retrieval. The disadvantage comes primarily from the initial cost and complexity of setting up the SAN infrastructure. As with any business solution, the decision of whether to use a SAN will be based on how cost-effective and efficient a SAN would be for the organization.

Answer to Question 2

Off-line refers to resources that are not immediately available but that could be made available in a reasonable amount of time (i.e., less than a minute). Data that are immediately available are said to be online.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.

Before a vaccine is licensed in the USA, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviews it for safety and effectiveness. Every lot of vaccine is tested before administration to the public, and the FDA regularly inspects vaccine manufacturers' facilities.
