Description: In this example, loss of blood results in a drop in blood pressure, which could be life threatening if not corrected. Effectors, such as the heart and blood vessels, help restore blood pressure toward normal. They do not raise blood pressure above normal, however, because of negative feedback (as denoted by the minus sign).
