Description: Three days after the Boston Marathon explosion, the FBI released this photograph that had been taken by a surveillance camera near the finish line. The FBI knew that while the public release of the photo would warn the bombers, agency officials reasoned that it would ensure swift identification and capture of the probable culprits. They were right. The bomber shown here was later wounded while eluding capture; his brother was killed.
