Description: CO2 emissions from a large point source first combine with solid sodium carbonate in the carbonation reactor. The resulting sodium bicarbonate is heated in the decarbonation reactor. This releases concentrated CO2 and regenerates sodium carbonate that is recycled back to the carbonation reactor.
