Description: Here is a graph that shows the blood pressure in the body. The blood pressure is different depending on where you are in the body. Right out of the aorta, the blood pressure is at its highest. Mean arterial pressure (diastolic plus one-third the pulse pressure) demonstrates that the heart spends twice as much time in systole as it does in diastole. What else do we observe?
