Description: Line immunoassay (LIA), also recombinant immunoblot assay (RIBA) and Immuno-stripe, is similar to a Western blot in its membrane enzyme immunoassay format, but the antigens were not electrophoresed, but instead were made by recombinant methods and placed on the membrane. In this assay the test antigen, HSP70, is on the top, a cut-off control is next, then a control which will be positive if patient serum was added is next, followed by a control which will be positive if functional enzyme labeled anti-human antibody is added.
