| Description: The flammable range consists of the concentration of fuel that will burn in atmospheric oxygen—the range between the lower explosive limit (LEL) and the upper explosive limit (UEL). Below the flammable range there is not enough fuel to burn in the presence of atmospheric oxygen. Above the flammable range there is too much fuel to burn in the presence of atmospheric oxygen.
