Description: From Mycenae, Greece. c. 1300–1100 BCE. Ceramic, height 16" (41 cm). National Archaeological Museum, Athens. In the final phase of the Helladic Bronze Age, Mycenaean potters created highly refined ceramics. A large krater, a bowl for mixing water and wine, is an example. Decorations could be highly stylized, like the scene of marching men on the Warrior Krater.
